| Rick and Patrick Milligan are all about family. Just as the old maple trees that dot the rural parts of Sturgeon County, their family tree is just as well rooted, just as stable and completely integrated into the land around them. Rick and Patrick’s family took root in Sturgeon County in 1898. As father and son, they represent the third and fourth generation of that planting. | ![]() |
| The Milligan homestead and farm has been going strong since 1947. Three generations currently live in the four homes that sit within the property’s borders. Though one might think, with the close family ties and their own little Earthly paradise, that the Milligans may just forget that there is an outside world to interact with. But the Milligan family cares about the community with the same fire and passion that binds them to their cherished homestead. | ![]() |
Both Rick and Patrick have devoted themselves to charities in Sturgeon County. Rick is a member of the Economic Development Committee. For many years he also served as a School Division Trustee. Patrick has put his considerable charisma behind efforts to boost charitable events that benefit the Make-A Wish Foundation as well as the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
